How Language Detection Works
When a customer sends a message in any language, ViViDlyPro automatically detects the language and searches your Knowledge Base for matching answers in that language.
If no match is found in the detected language, it falls back to English (or your configured primary language).
Adding Multilingual Knowledge Base Entries
Add entries in multiple languages for the same topic:
- English: Q: What are your hours? A: We are open 9 AM to 7 PM.
Setting Primary and Fallback Languages
In Settings → Bot → Language:
- Set Primary Language (the language for system messages and greetings)
- Set Fallback Language (used when the bot can't find an answer in the detected language)
- Enable Auto-detect to let customers write in any supported language
Tips for Best Results
- Start with English entries, then add translations for your most common questions.
- Use native script for Indian languages (Devanagari for Hindi, not transliterated Roman).
- Test your multilingual bot by sending messages in each language you've added.
